I thought one of the best ways to cope with the grieving process for my late father (he passed in 2012 but condolences still welcome here!), Jerry Kagan, would be to create a blend in his honor to remind myself of one of the many ways he touched my life. He was a great lover of wine and food and reveled in the sensory intrigues of the coffees I would foist upon him.
He so loved both the nuanced and explosive characters in the finest African coffees that a blend of my finest from the Continent which brought us coffee would make for a nice representation. Blends will depend on what is in house but I generally have at least 4 or 5 distinct coffees on hand from Ethiopia, Kenya, DR Congo, Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda. When only the best will do...love you Dad!
